I'ts crazy. A friend called late Sat to tell me NC State was beating Clemson. Thinking it would affect their standing in the Atlantic Division. Then everyone was thinking UV would need to beat FSU to still maintain status in the Coastal Division. Bud Foster will come with a game for us................not to worry !

I'm very impressed with the caliber of players we have recruited this year.

Robert Brown 6'5" guard. Dorian Finney-Smith 6'8" forward from Portsmouth is an impact player that has rare qualities. Already I think he outplays Davila, the senior. Jarrell Eddie .They hung with Syracuse well into the second half and are up on Oklahoma State at the half. I think this is the year we make it to the NCAA.

Clemson's offensive line is decimated. Three of five starters out. Their two leading receivers have missed time since the first game, and opposing defenses have focused on stopping Watkins and Allen. In the first game, VaTech was still adjusting to depletion of their defensive starters and coaches lacked confidence in the offense.

Thoughts for my alma mater: I am so sorry for the new challenges you face. I am Virginia Tech.

Goodness: He doesn't even need a scholarship since he will go in on the GI bill....so we get him for free. I hope he plays next year. His high school number was #2...same as Eddie Royal. Great find !

Just found out about this. We're going into the Sugar Bowl without our placekicker. What a brilliant move on his part. Sounds like we might see the "Hokie Pokey" signs return on the Blacksburg jail.

No denying what he did was pathetically stupid but the whole thing has been dramatically drummed up by the police. The so called weapon was a bb gun. Those involved got their butts kicked by Dorenzo and his roommate who went looking for them. No charges were filed against them. Cody is a great kid. I think that Dorenzo and his roommate will not testify against Journell nor press charges and the whole thing will be dropped.

I know three black guys in Wytheville who were minding their own business and this white guy comes up to them in a club and calls them the N word. The three black guys follow him home, break down the front door, beat him with a 2 x 4, put him in the hospital for a month, he almost dies, broke his eye socket. Well, the trial was scheduled twice and the victim failed to show up to testify. The prosecutor dropped the charges. Honestly the whole thing was about some pot. These days, I'd like to see it dropped. Holding these guys in jail, denying bond is way overdone...Journell is a good kid.

Look back ! Druckenmiller was let off on rape charges. Marcus
Vick on underage sex charges, drug charges etc. etc etc.

Sorry, I have to disagree. He's an idiot for being involved in any way with this...unless he knew nothing about the gun and charged into the house looking for pizza.

washingtonpost.com

In court testimony Thursday, Montgomery County Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Mary Pettitt said Dunton allegedly approached Hudson’s house Wednesday night holding a pizza box and knocked on the door in search of Allen. When Hudson answered, Dunton allegedly pulled out a black handgun while Brady and Journell charged into the residence.

Pettitt said Dunton suspected Allen had stolen a large amount of marijuana from him. An independent witness told police that Journell and Brady hid in the bushes until Dunton knocked on the door. When they couldn’t find Allen in the house, all three then fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle with a driver who is not known.

Investigators recovered the weapon Thursday morning, but have been unable to confirm whether it is a deadly weapon or an airsoft gun, which shoots pellets. Police also found a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia on Dunton.
