No denying what he did was pathetically stupid but the whole thing has been dramatically drummed up by the police. The so called weapon was a bb gun. Those involved got their butts kicked by Dorenzo and his roommate who went looking for them. No charges were filed against them. Cody is a great kid. I think that Dorenzo and his roommate will not testify against Journell nor press charges and the whole thing will be dropped.

I know three black guys in Wytheville who were minding their own business and this white guy comes up to them in a club and calls them the N word. The three black guys follow him home, break down the front door, beat him with a 2 x 4, put him in the hospital for a month, he almost dies, broke his eye socket. Well, the trial was scheduled twice and the victim failed to show up to testify. The prosecutor dropped the charges. Honestly the whole thing was about some pot. These days, I'd like to see it dropped. Holding these guys in jail, denying bond is way overdone...Journell is a good kid.

Look back ! Druckenmiller was let off on rape charges. Marcus
Vick on underage sex charges, drug charges etc. etc etc.

Sorry, I have to disagree. He's an idiot for being involved in any way with this...unless he knew nothing about the gun and charged into the house looking for pizza.

washingtonpost.com

In court testimony Thursday, Montgomery County Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Mary Pettitt said Dunton allegedly approached Hudson’s house Wednesday night holding a pizza box and knocked on the door in search of Allen. When Hudson answered, Dunton allegedly pulled out a black handgun while Brady and Journell charged into the residence.

Pettitt said Dunton suspected Allen had stolen a large amount of marijuana from him. An independent witness told police that Journell and Brady hid in the bushes until Dunton knocked on the door. When they couldn’t find Allen in the house, all three then fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle with a driver who is not known.

Investigators recovered the weapon Thursday morning, but have been unable to confirm whether it is a deadly weapon or an airsoft gun, which shoots pellets. Police also found a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia on Dunton.

Great play calling Beamer...fake punt? Wilson up the middle, which has never gotten more than 2 yards all game??? Beamer's coaching lost this game...

I was screaming ! What the **** are you doing ! Give the guys a chance to win the game !

The seating in Lane Stadium will be revised this winter. My season seats which go back to 1967 will be reassigned. Originally, our seats were on the 48 yard line row s. In the reassignment 4 years ago we were moved to the 35 yard line row u.

To make a long story short, this year we were expecting to be moved higher and wider: however in receiving our latest status we "improved" from 4100 out of 14,000 season ticket holders to 3900 out of 14000 ticket holders.

Granted this is not a great improvement but I think it shows that there is a growing minority who are giving up their season tickets and support of the Hokie Club.

As in the Jimmy Coffey days and Bill Dooley days nothing will change until the athletic director receives a few phone calls from high profile contributors who demand some changes.
They could lose 5000 bronze Hokies and there are 5000 new grads in line to get season tickets: but let them loose a couple million dollars donors and Beamer himself would get canned.

Gregor,

Surely you aren't calling for Coach Beamer's head at this point?

I just think their record against top 20 teams and in bowls speaks for itself, unfortunately. I was screaming at the TV all night. I feel so bad for those players, they did such a great job given the plays that were called, especially the defense, except for a few plays (Wilson running backwards, Hoseley pass interference)...they just can't seem to stick to what is working: they get a two point conversion from the 3 on a pass play, yet they never try that play again!!! What the hell? Instead, lets run Wilson on the inside, which hasn't worked all season, much less this game...

Wow, that is a long time. Do you ever need to sell any tickets? I might be interested for one game in spite of everything I have said...hope springs eternal.

I was thinking while WVU was running that "innovative flip forward pass" last night in the Orange Bowl. Beamer wouldn''t think of something like that in a million years.

I used to party with him in college. He would come out to our frat house all the time. My roommate knew him they went to Hillsville HS together.

I'm fed up....I'd like to see him go ! I think we could do better with Foster as head coach, and all new offensive coaches..................Gregor

I've been to maybe 3 games in 30 years where you couldn't buy from scalpers. Just go over there, get there a little early and buy some tickets...........take a seating chart so you wouldn't get stuck in the nose bleed sections. ( moreso now than in the past)
