The truth of the matter is that Saddam has built a number of
bacterial culture vessels that are probably in the 50-100 gallon area. Anthrax grows very well in easily made blood media. Doubling time for it is ~60 minutes in blood media at blood temperature. That means a start culture of 5 ML of Anthrax that is already growing(not in spore form....can take a few days for the spores to germinate) turns into a lot of anthrax very soon. That means you
only need 24 hours to get 2*24 times as many as you started with. Anthrax has few limits to growth in such a reactor.
After this you need to make them into spores, so you filter them out and place them in isotonic salt water with very little glucose and then dilute the media with distilled water gradually(too quickly and the bacteria explode and die, from osmotic differential).
This combined starvation and osmotic stress triggers the bacteris to form spores. Once fully ensporulated you then filter and was with distilled water and spray into a drying tower that is dry but not hot enough to harm the germs.
You will get about 5-10% yield of spores from a single batch. since 1 CC = 1 trillion spores as dry powder, then 50 gallons gives you 12,500 CC of spores. Each one can do this 3-4 times per week.
Now the toxin ricin can be stripped from castor beans with a solvent extraction. 1 microgram will kill a person. As a fine dust it is deadly.
nerve gases are similarly easy to make in 50 gallon batches and the factory to do this would look like an office building since each 50 gallon reactor would take up about the space of an office desk.
Nuclear centrifuges based on high strength Aluminium can be similarly small, and numerous.
That means he can easily make a stealth factory for all these items based on a distributed stealth factory model.
A large factory is just more cost effective than smaller ones, but Saddam has lots of cash to devote to many smaller less efficient stealth plants. So that is what he is doing. Count on it.
Now this inspector BS, is just that, he will refuse to let you inspect, balk them at every turn and when the time is right unleash many many tones of spores and toxins at Israel and the USA. As we have seen a few spores go a long way. A high flying plane blowing spores 25 miles upwind of Chicago from 10,000 feet could make a large cloud that would settle over the area.
