There is one director of Geotek who has been selling on a regular basis. I understand he needs the money. So the fact that some directors are buying and some are selling is a net positive. It is not indicative of confusion on the BOD or elsewhere-with the possible exception of some readers of these boards.
There are many reasons to sell a stock, but there is essentially only one reason to buy one. That is that you believe that you will make money on your money. (Of course it is possible that a director could buy to manipulate the market into thinking that he is optimistic-but that is a very expensive way to do pr.)
Early 1998 is put up or shut up (or shut down) time for these guys. I for one, hope they make it, but I would not bet the ranch.
