Not at all! All who are Born Again in Christ and are baptized in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit become the children of God. Once you are Born Again, you have that treasure in your earthen vessel--your fallen body. To overcome that fallen body of sin (sanctification), Jesus has established the sacraments of Holy Confession and Holy Communion as conduits to pour forth the sanctifying grace necessary to overcome the flesh and Satan and to become the fullness of what God intends in his children. |
