I'll admit to using Wate On as well. In high school in the late '50s, I was super-skinny at 6'5", 165 lbs., and my mother somehow came up with Wate On, probably by mail order. They were white wafers that came in a box about the size used for Christmas candy. If I had any weight gain, it likely was from the glass of milk recommended for each wafer dosage. I eventually became paunchy and overweight in my 30s but have settled back at an ideal weight of 190 as I approach 70.

I had totally forgotten about Wate On.

a product called 'wate-on'

Neeka is a gulper, and it seems she inhales her food. OTOH her cousin is a nibbler.........a dainty eater.

Might as well do a little traveling and visiting with friends and what you're doing. The weather isn't conducive for doing much of anything else. You're going to love it when that breather finally arrives, but in the mean time have some fun.

My husband claims he could put both hands around my waist and touch fingers when we first met. I don't remember that, but I did have a pretty tiny waist. Not so much anymore though. :-Z

grateful when the sack dresses became popular.

Me too. But I got in trouble for "enhancing" the top part. My mother actually had something like a hissy fit when I stuffed my bra. She pushed me up against the wall and reached in and pulled out the socks I'd put in my bra. I was so flat chested that any little bump would show. LOL

Something like Twiggy?

Something on that order, except she looked like a girl - I looked like the girl version of a nerd.

'if you want to be popular, you can't afford to be skinny!' lol....

The most popular girls were the ones with "curves" - I had none. A family friend used to call me a long drink of water. Ahhh, those were the days.

I just always assumed I'd stay thin. Then I discovered how good food tasted.
