Oh Naomi.....I'm SO glad to see your post again....have been worried because you had been off for so long, and we knew about the bronchitis...Last year, I had it and what they called COPD that the Doc ordered a nebulizer as well as other meds....It took some time to get over, but I did get over it.....Wishing you well too! Glad to hear your oxygen level is 96%....thats a GOOD thing.....!

Also, SO glad to hear about your hubby's progress.....After you've fallen like that, and broken bones, I KNOW the feeling....you never want to do *that* again!! Better safe than sorry, for sure!

Congratulations on the birth of your GreatGranddaughter....and your namesake! Are they nearby? Or if not, when will you be able to see them and little Naomi Grace.....?

Are your little kitties, Lovey Dovey and .....is it Pitty Pat? that doesn't sound right....are they able to keep you company while you have to be in bed?

Here's a picture of me a few years ago with a book I made of my 2 Great Grandmother Emerette, born in 1842....Her mother died when she was 23 months old, her father a Minister. When he remarried and they moved to Iowa from Ohio, Emerette went to live with her Aunt and Uncle in Lockport NY...so was "gently raised"....She married a man of Irish descent, and they too went to Iowa where she lived as a pioneer woman until he died in 1903. She then went to CO to visit grown children for a year, and then came to WA State, where again she homesteaded and lived until her death in 1926.. Within the last two weeks, I fell heir to her picture scrapbook.....I feel in some ways that I know her, and would like to know so much more about her life....

Those were fun days....maybe we can do it again....will be gone next week.... Tonight I may do something I normally don't do...watch NBC.....their program "Who do you think you are" will feature the NSDAR Genealogical Library and how to use it when you are in DC..... If any are interested in History or Genealogy, this is a world class library. I've been in all the nooks and crannies of the beautiful place, and enjoyed working there...there are so many wonderful things there its VERY easy to get sidetracked....

LOL! That sounds like a lot of things we do that men just "don't get".....Like why we have to clean the kitchen and bath before the hired help comes.....or why we clean both BEFORE we leave on vacation...

Do you use it like regular cooking oil? Can you roast veggies with it? 450 degree oven? I roast so many veggies now with only a bit of olive oil and Mrs Dash or Lemon Pepper.....we both LOVE the way all veggies taste this way....

The company is called Nutiva, and they have the best prices I've found (so far.) And as you can see from my post, and although Coconut oil is not cheap, the health benefits are incredible. Only buy Organic Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed Coconut Oil. That is the best product and is pretty much guaranteed to be pest and pesticide free.

I have never seen Coconut Oil at Costco, but you can find it at Fred Meyer. I don't buy it there because of their mark up and over all ridiculous price. Nutiva has a free shipping with orders over $30 offer going on right now. They're out of the 1 gal size............which sold at a substantially reduced cost, but you may want to buy it in a smaller quantity and try it out first.

I'm not sure if LB has any info on Coconut Oil on his health thread, but you could do a search and see if you can find anything there. I have one friend who suffered a heart attack in 2004 and he swears by it. So does my raw vegan dil. We haven't been using it that long, but we have grown to love it. By all accts and according to people I talk to that use it, they feel the same. It is not only good to eat, but it's great on skin. Makes it so soft.
