brokers have been moved...the monday after the sunday that i learned the full extent...

in the late 90's, during the internet bubble, i was chatting with an old uncle (he passed in 2000) about investing in the stock market. he looked at me with his beady eyes and said, "they'll steal your money."
at the time i recall thinking, "not if you pay attention. there are laws, after all."
but he was right and i was wrong.
