I was thrown without warning into the Betabeast version the other night and it was a nightmarish occurrence. Most people are going to have objections when something that has worked well for them for several years is suddenly gone, but when the new improved model is screamingly slow and confusing, it is even worse! If that was supposed to be a convincing intro to the new SI, it failed miserably.
I loved the classic SI. If there are some wonderful, new, can't- live-without changes, why can't they be incorporated into the old format without throwing out baby, bathwater, soap, towels, and shampoo? Failing that, give us a choice. But DON"T DO that to me again! It was traumatic. |
