Texas is south, but have you spent any time in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia or Arkansas? You really get the feel of the oppression in these deep south states.

And as you said intolerance is every where. The more republicans the more intolerant.

I said your reply was impish and ignorant. Go re-read your reply, and you'll see the impish and ignorant parts, if you don't then there is nothing more for me to try to explain.

If you can't separate policy from politics, then you'll have a hard time understanding why politicos do what they do. It's not always cut and dried. Work on the differences between the policy and the politics of the war in Iraq, then get back to me.

What part of the fact that the republican party is predominantly white are you having a problem with?

I'm running out of patience with you.

I'd say it's quite the other way around.

When at a forum in September, retired Gen. Hugh Shelton was asked if he would support retired Gen. Wesley Clark for president, Shelton, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, quickly took a drink of water. "That question makes me wish it were vodka," Shelton said. "I've known Wes for a long time. I will tell you the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote."

He's Republican!

Republicans talk a big game about integrity and character but that's for everyone else. Rush and Bennett are the reality........accusing everyone of wrongdoing while popping pills on the side or, or spending millions at the casinos.

Yeah, this guy is one fat *ss Republican!

Marco Calamai, the Italian representative to the coalition in Iraq, resigned today. Basically, he said Bush and Bremer don't know what they're doing and don't understand the Iraqi culture.

Soon we will be all alone in Iraq.

The allegations by Marco Calamai, a special counselor of the Coalition Provisional Authority in the southern province of Dhi Qar, came as Russia and France criticized the U.S. timetable for handing over power to the Iraqis by July 1.

Rising casualties added new urgency to the task. Two more American soldiers died Monday in separate attacks north of Baghdad, one in an ambush on a patrol, the other by a roadside bomb.

And the military experts not controlled by the White House are saying we'll be in Iraq for at least more five years if not longer.

Stupid is as stupid does!

The whole character assassination thing on Clark is a republican dirty trick started by Carl Rove. The idea is discredit Clark so that Dean will win the nomination. I saw it on CSPAN today.

Clark is the candidate that the republicans fear the most. That's why they discredit him while talking up Dean. Have you noticed that Fox gives Dean more coverage than the other candidates?

There will be 4,000 casualties by then at the current kill rate.

Too sad.

Bush CONTINUES to SELL OUT THE AMERICAN PUBLIC FOR HIS CORPORATE WHORING
Regulation Begins at Home
By ELIOT SPITZER
Published: November 17, 2003
ALBANY — With two decisions in the last two weeks, the Bush administration has sent its clearest message yet
that it values corporate interests over the interests of average Americans. In the Securities and Exchange
Commission's settlement with Putnam Investments, the public comes away short-changed. In the Environmental
Protection Agency's decision to forgo enforcement of the Clean Air Act, the public comes away completely
empty-handed...

TD,

The same sort of guys who are running Bush tried to hire Smedley Butler to perpetrate a coup d'etat against Franklin Roosevelt. Butler snitched to Congress because he was more of a patriot to the country than to the crooks on Wall Street. But the Congress couldn't get the bastards who hatched the plot because they were too powerful. The history got buried and 99% of all Americans have no clue that this incident occurred.
