<<Why can't I open GIF files and some TIFF files using TruDef?

GIF and TIFF(LZW) are proprietary file formats of Unisys. A separate licensing agreement is required to include these two file formats.>>

From the frequently asked questions section on TMMI's web site.

If I create a website that uses .tdf files, will people who don't have EZ be able to view the pictures on my web site?

EZ is BS.

I uninstalled, defraged, reinstalled following those old instructions on the web site, and it still did not work.

When I went to the TMMI web site, the pictures would not even load.

I uninstalled and as far as I am concerned this is BS.

Sorry Walter but countless people have successfully downloaded and used that plug-in so maybe computers and this investment are not for you.

Good luck elsewhere as you do not ever seem to have been happy around here.

Walter, it has worked for many people, including me. I'm sorry it has not worked for you, but I don't think that that is any reason to call it BS. By calling it BS you are placing the blame on the product, which it seems, is not where it should be. I would be willing to help you get it installed on Netscape Communicator (I don't use IE, so I am not sure how to do it on IE) so you can see how well the photos are reproduced and how quickly they are loaded. You also have limited manipulation tools, but zooming is not included in the trial version.

Ok Walter, I got mine to work, but what happened was that I have an old Netscape 3.1 also on my computer that I use off and on. The program must've loaded in the plugin folder in that browser.
I had uninstalled the other EZ program like johnny said and then I redownloaded it to and made sure that the directory it loaded into was the plugin file in the Netscape folder. It couldn't find the application when I tried the cemmunicator Netscape browser (4.08) but I then tried my old Netscape 3.1 and it worked fine in there.
I noticed in your note to me you were loading it in a Digital Focus file. Your problem may be that you need to load it into the C:\Program Files\Netscape\Program\Plugins
or plugins file from whatever browser you use. I haven't tried to the Internet Explorer yet.
I have to say, if I was able to get it to work this well earlier than tonight I may have bought back more shares. I pulled out the picture of the butterfly, increased the color resolution and then under effects I used sharpen. The butterfly became brilliant and so sharp that the image looks real and 3d. I think I may be kicking myself tomorrow. I truely wish I was able to get this to work as well before.
Anyone with any suggestions on how I can get it to work in my Netscape 4.08? I am not getting rid of my 3.1.
Carol

Having a positive attitude will help. Just like when you are standing over that 3 foot putt. BELIEVE!!!

Maybe Walter should try a little "Power of Positive Thinking"
