Daniel:

1) The SEC does not write the laws. Congress does that. The Commission is charged with responsibility for administering the securities laws that Congress enacts. In the Commission's words, from it's web site, "The SEC is an independent, nonpartisan, quasijudicial regulatory agency with responsibility for administering the federal securities laws."

2) There don't need to be any internet-specific laws. Trading on inside information is a federal felony. Front running is illegal. Numerous activities in connection with the promotion of securities are highly regulated.

I'm not saying you've done anything illegal, Daniel, and frankly have never followed your posts. Just making an observation that if you're trading on inside info or front running, you have cause to be concerned.

I have written emails to Webstreet and Etrade where the Miller kid has accounts, and also advised the SEC of his activities. Do you have any thoughts on further actions?

Cheers

What a naieve pompous little snot you really are.

"I think that the SEC would have informed me already... What are they waiting for? "

They took a LONG time to get around to Tokyo Joe.. they are seriously understaffed, but take this sort of thing VERY seriously I assure you. I further assure you that they have a great many details of your activities sent to them by at LEAST a dozen people that I know of.

"Also I don't think the SEC is too sure themselves on what is legal and what is not."

Are you really that stupid or are you in denial? Dont kid yourself kiddo...

"The SEC needs to sit down one of
these days and get all the laws re-written to fit the internet"

Yeah tell them they need to change the rules because of what YOU do on the internet.

"How can people be penalized if there is no
written law against it? "

Whew the colossal naivete'

You will hear from your brokerages LONG before you hear from the SEC, and you better hope the SEC DOESN'T take too long or you won t be 15 anymore and WHAM its the real slammer for you.

One other thing about the SEC.

They do take quite a while to investigate due to being short-staffed and the need to build a solid case. But when they move, they move.

Just ask Ivan Boesky, Michael Millken and a few dozen others.

I know the agency Daniel, my wife was an attorney there for 5 years in the mid-80's. You're kidding yourself if you think they don't have you on the screen.

The SEC has bigger fish to fry than a precocious 15 year old stock guru. Leave the kid alone and all of you self-appointed regulators stop threatening him with such dire consequences. I am disturbed at the way many of you have misinterpreted what I believe to be his "naive exuberance" and unjustly cast him as a cynical, manipulative pump and dump artist.

Many, I'm sure, are more comfortable with the notion of a 15 year kid picking zits rather than stocks. Well, I for one wish Daniel all the best, and hope he learns some valuable life lessons from his recent S.I. experiences. So far he has handled the criticism aimed his way most admirably.

etc.
