If the price goes to 6, buy more. Unless you believe the company will completely crash and burn.

>> I am really pissed that we have been mislead by CRUS<< I believe you are doing the misleading of people on this thread w/ accusations that the co. will have "major shortfalls". I think it is more likely that the analysts' ests. are beaten, although w/ Asia clouding the future for most tech companies I'd rather see them just meet the number and pad the next qtr. for insurance.
Happy Holidays to all,
Felt Burner

In my years of holding CRUS stock investor relations has never been upfront and have always painted a rosey picture. I talked to them in October 95 and they said how wonderful things were and look what happened. The point I am making is that their IR uses old information when providing information to investors. You can't rely on any informations as a small investor, since you usually talk to someone in the comapany that has little or no clue. Why did the stock go nowhere after earnings? The smart money was dumping the stock since they understood the outlook in 98. Many people were caught off guard by the disk drive and asian problems. Did you sell your CRUS at 17-18?
In 1995 I sold half of my holdings at $60, since they were losing market share to S3 and the technicals turned bad. This time I held since I was informed by CRUS that their great recovery was underway.
Look at Oct 95 and compare it to this Oct. The stock sold off in the same way after a great earnings announcement.
Maybe the comapnay did the opposite and padded last quarter.

I am not short this stock but hate to see other burned by mis information

No, I didn't sell at $17-$18 because I didn't own it there. As far as mgmt. painting a rosy picture, they tried extremely hard to keep analysts from raising ests. last qtr. then beat the number handily. It seems to unlikely to me that they would pad a number they were already going to beat.
Your opinion and viewpoints are an important contribution to the thread, the wording just makes it sound like you are "in the know" as opposed to only making a reasonable assumption based on past history and the current environment.
Enjoy the holidays,
Felt Burner

So why own it here when the stock is in a downtrend without any support, and when the business going forward is full of negitives and unknowns? Sure the bottom around book value but that is not at these levels.

Ya, I didn't get the previous message either. Was he trying to say that the blood would be running in Feb, 98 or that it is running now.
Obviously it it running now, but depending on how severe the wound it, it takes a while to stop. Looks like this is still bleeding bad. Not enough of you CRUS bull stepping up to the table.

Richard: I Just believe the stock will be back in the 15-17 range. Past history and recent earnings make me believe this. Didn't mean to make anyone think I KNOW something, because I don't. Sorry.

Regards
Walt
