Ed,
I plan to invest in the fund next week. There are not too many mutual funds (yet) concentrating in this area. Hopefully '99 will be another profitable yr for internet stocks.
Do you have any insight on the management team at Munder?

Rgds
Phil

Ed, are you racing with them too? There are stocks in the Munder Fund I wish I could afford (the share price). At the stage of investing now where, you know, the cheaper the share price, the more work it takes to do the research, the microcap flops are balanced out by the gains of the rockets. Like greenhouse plants. Been There Done That? In a year or two I hope to be "Movin' On Up" (like the Jeffersons) - looking forward to seeing Munder grow and let's see if it beats out the two-for-a-dollar micronets, AOL, USAI, XCIT, CPU, and GNET internets I've got going.
Good luck with Munder & all, Happy New Year
Joana

Looks like interest in the thread died a few months back. I hope that doesn't mean the fund is falling out of favor. I've looked at the chart and it seems to be doing great to me. I took a position yesterday and hope to make some $$. Any thoughts, comments or info??? Tony

How's this for a fast response, Tony?! I'm a Happy Holder of Munder and so can personally recommend it's performance so far. Have just calculated a 37% return since buy-in just 4 1/2 months ago! Best of luck with it to both of us, no reason why it shouldn't keep on doing real fine! Still having my kind of good clean fun on an Ego-trip racing Munder with my own TechNet stocks; and (not to brag, but) my individual portfolio from that index beats it by a few points but not by all that much (except in these last few amazing days me being one lucky duck holding GNET shares and Munder doesn't have those!) 'Twas hoping/dreaming it would be more of an Opening Bell Fortuneteller Internet Stock Bellewether than it is, but that's a miniscule personal disappointment not a complaint...lots of folks out there are looking for The Internet Bellewether & so far still coming up dry (no biggie) and still searching. Best thing so far for Internet stocks is still the Magic 8 Ball at pandbox.com  - Have Fun.
Best of Luck If You're Irish or Wannabe Irish,
Joana

Not Irish, nor an Irish wanabe, spent too much time in England while the IRA bombed London indiscriminately. Yes, I know, all Irish aren't the IRA. But the Irish have allowed their problems to ruin their country and violence overspill their borders.

Sorry! Didn't mean to get into the geo-political stuff. I get distracted easily. Maybe this is why my investing is doing so poorly!

I need help. Please share your other picks that you expect to do well. Thanks Tony

I asked the Magic 8 ball "If the MNNBX Fund would go up in value this week"? It said "Ask Later". I guess that's as good an answer as I get after studying all the charts and quarterly reports! Thanks for the site. I will use it often. Tony

Tony, May The Luck Of The Irish Be With You Today (I'm Irish ancestry, born American)...and re: the politics, this I know for a fact and hope you think before you speak if you happen to be in a tipsy group today discussing such matters....
The Majority of "Real Irish" are the same as the Majority of "Real Americans" and feel the same way we do about radicals, vandals, bomb throwers, and murderers who take political disputes (the green/orange, what brand of Irish Whiskey do you drink, etc. quasi-
religious thing is just a description of who's on whose team in the ancient dispute of property and birthright and bigotry and royal bloodlines and status and power spoken of; it's not the
mercenary uniforms of the radicals or really anything to do with the
dispute itself, as you must know) calling themselves qualified to settle it by indiscriminate violence and name themselves leaders and revolutionaries while held in fear & contempt at large by all. (Assuming) you're a Real American, what you think of their ilk is the same way The Irish feel about Psychos who would never be accepted by the military and can't even hold down a job! They survive with their Bands Of Killers who delude themselves that the reason they're doing these things is that they "Fight For The Cause" and not admitting that it's the way they survive with their own kind, stay high, stay on the run, and that they get off on it. The Nice People, The Majority of The Irish, have/want nothing to do with the likes of these any more than any stereotypical sociopathic troublemaker over here has to do with The Majority Of Americans. I've been told that
oftentimes these bombings are not the work of the IRA, but of others who want to start trouble up again or perhaps as merely a cover for their mischief; and this makes sense as well. It's a complex matter.
Discussing the disputes in question is delicate; tread carefully around it today, as there are IgnorIrishAmuses out there
drunk and looking for a fight today over any reason whatsoever.
I hope you think of this, if you're in a crowd. I know enough Irish Natives to know what I'm talking about....though I've never been out of this Country except a brief jaunt or two to Mexico...seen almost every state, though....just happy where I am, I guess.
I hope your investment luck just turned sweet with Munder!!!
I like GNET, AOL, AMZN, YHOO, CPQ, DELL, ATT, LU, MSFT, IBM, CSCO, ORCL, SUNW, MRK, PFE, BMY, DIS, USAI, and DLJ
best right now, these are all Solid Stocks (some more than others)
and most are recent or coming splits so on many the share price isn't too bad right now relative to historic highs
because of this or another factor. I hold some of the above, hoping to get others or add to the holds before they go up again too much.
Best luck to you with Munder, your investing, and The Irish,
Joana O'Tides

I will take ALL of your advice. Seems pretty sound to me, especially today. I will not bore you with trying to refute any of your points mainly because I agree with most of them.
We do have some stocks in common. I also own DELL, AOL, CSCO, SUNW, and ORCL. But the others I own are my problem. I'm beginning to think it may be a good idea to let DELL go for awhile but its so hard to do. Betting against MD hasn't been very good game ever. I will do some DD on the others you listed. Thanks Tony

Hey Guys there may be another way to invest in the Internet with a certain amount of safety soon. Check it out at WWW.Internet.com

This info is from Steve Harmon's page. forums.internet.com

The information age is upon us and no mutual fund represents the Internet as well as ISDEX, The Internet Stock Index, could. Since april, 1996 ISDEX has been the leader in Internet indexes, staying at the forefront of this fast-paced industry, giving you the barometer to see how Wall Street values the Web. Now the time is to empower you more.

Tired of paying huge per trade commissions when you'd like to own a basket of Internet industry stocks. That's the ISDEX! 50 representative companies: content, software, commerce, access, security, hardware

We've literally had hundreds of colleagues who follow it ask time and time again to make ISDEX a mutual fund. More than 300,000 follow ISDEX on the Web and in print.

We are interested but want to do so with a top mutual fund group only to protect you and the ISDEX. Now this message board is the place to voice your vote. We will tally the number of postings here (goal of 1,000) and then see how long before the big funds come calling...no guarantees but we'll try our best! -Steve Harmon

This is what is in the Index: sites.stockpoint.com
