I received an allocation of Infospace.com from Charles Schwab and I also received 100 shares. I think Schwab allocates 100 shares to all their customers in order to benefit the most amount of people.

There was a debate about allocations on the Infospace.com threads

This was my first IPO with Schwab. I understand there were some people who didn't get any shares. Still on the lookout for any other IPO's, but 1999 seems pretty slim so far.

Geez, do any of you actually have anything to say about the company? Schwab is a ridiculous firm. Use them at your peril.

I got 100 shares too from Schwab. (Thanks Schwab!!) But my account shows that this is still a open order. The lady I spoke with at the IPO desk mentioned that this will be the case until the final prospectus is printed and mailed out.

Anybody else with the same situation?

I received a call from Schwab on Saturday stating I got an allocation, but the shares aren't in my account, yet.

I called Schab today (25 Jan 1999), and was told that Schwab will be putting the Allaire shares in today.

Ditto here too. Asked for 2000 and received 100. Notified Saturday noon. Schwab 500 customer and can't refuse to take advantage of this "easy money". Such a deal to get shares in a stock the day AFTER it has already doubled, huh?

Did ANYONE on this thread get more than 100 shares?

got 100 too. will probably hold for a while since the the stock seem to have very good support behind it.

I got a call Friday saying that I'd been given 100 shares.
However, there is still no record of them in my account.
I've heard that other people at least have an "open order"
for ALLR at 20. Is there anyone else with my situation where
there isn't even an open order?
