There are lots of rain followers in Minnesota because they see pretty
good business at Mall of America or Disney. But what they don't see is
there are some at odd locations like in Chicago. The building stands
by itself in the middle of no where. Location location IMO. I don't
know if it'll double in a year or not. But I think folks or funds
might have to sell rain for tax loss by oct or so.

*OT* - My take is that one trades, and does not invest in restaurants, they are basically fads that change much like clothing. None seem to last very long (excepting the big fast food chains), they soar, then crash and burn. One year it's Boston Chicken, the next it's the Hard Rock Cafe, then it's Planet Hollywood, well, you get the picture....

John

PS - Once they crash, I suspect VERY FEW ever come back...

And was packed to the gills with a long wait last time I was there! Other restaurants were much easier to get into.

Not true...the ones with good financials and decent concepts usually come back...

some examples are RYAN, OSSI, EAT, DRI...

just to name a few...

Jimbo.

I think LDRY & RAIN both stand decent chances to recover over the next year or so.

rudedog..I would assume the top dogs would indicate or guide if the earnings were to be below expectations for their own credibility rebuilding program. Because of the analyst's reiterations and upgrades last week is it safe to assume guidance had an upward bias? This is my gut feeling and is reinforced because of the above.

I have not heard any bad rumors, assume that the expectations are in line as you do...
