Does it really matter?

Nope. Only one thing or maybe a few matter right now. first it did seem that there was some selling off yesterday and begining of today. Prior to earnings? Seems a trifle early, BWDIK?

Secondly, do the blocks that go off under the bid substantiate the amount absorbed by thr retailer investor? SO far no.

Once again ckfr is poised for a return to their highs, and god willing and NO DISAPPOIONMENTS or let downs from earnings should plaw ahead.

What matters also is what Pete has to say about the Yahoo! deal, as well as other subscriber growth. As I am under the inpression, the flat sub. growth was due to inactive accounts(those not making the company money). So, ASSuME 90% of anyone who has signed up for the free trial period is not accounted in sub. growth, I'd surely be flustered if there is no mention, concrete numbers of hits or free trial sign ups fr5om the venture, as well as other numbers of new subscribers from FIs. This is a must IMO. And while it appears we dodged a bullett on the last flat growth, it won't fly in my books this time around.

Also what DOES matter now that we are preceived as a 'nut company is bottom line. The street in the last few months doesn't want to hear about "lesser than expected losses" they want EPS. I know we are still a bit away from that, but there better be damn good reasoning behind it. Not "we're ahead of the curve and the wave is on the horazin" We'll get blasted for that.

And Finally what is important to me is that this company begins to concen itself with shareholder value. We, those of us who have beein in here for two three or more years deserve something to rocket us.

I;m looking as some of my other longs, and while ckfr has provided a freat trading stock when active, it ain't performed like some of my other ones. Those I don't worry about hourly, minutely.

As a long time shareholder, I feel the time is soon approaching where we better see the rewards of our loyality. Yeah, I know it's up 15 fold from Oct lows, I was there picking up every even single digit until I was almost in tears when I grabed my last chance at $6(I know there is a god, and he shined on us that day). I woulda' ended up calling some of the most busy profesionals(in other industries) to get their support for this one down there. Shit, I was thinking then at $2 hell, I might get all the float in an extended family. Thankfully it never came to that. or regretfully.

I suppose I'm outta' breath. Be well

P>S. We all know what we are looking for next week, and save a slaughtering back to the 60-70 rnge, it's gotta take off.

IE: firefalls/security!!!!!!!!!(yeah, everyone knows I'm fanatical about them and have holdings in a couple. But people are now dependant on them. CheckFree needs to become an addictive drug. All the moonshine drom these other upstarts will leave their participants with a biog hangover, and licking their wounds.

Mostly, its curiosity on my part as I like to know which funds are selling or buying CKFR.

I don't know if this is a correct assumption, but I assumed that it was a sale since the price was lifted up and then dropped after that.

So, someone selling 75K shares, especially so close to earnings, is somewhat disconcerting (to me). I guess we can assume that its not a management insider since their trading window is probably closed right now.

Maybe I was wrong, maybe it was a buy. In any case, I'd still be curious to know who's buyin'...

The selling and buying by institutions for the prior quarter
generaly start to become published 30 to 60 days after the quarter end.

Your broker (if you used one) could probably find out from his trading desk using an autex syatem which brokers might have been involved in the type of trade you asked about because of it's size, but any trader who divulged the name of the customer (fund) would get fired if he were caughr revealing a customer's name.

Would CSFB put out a $110 price target on CKFR just a few short days ago without having somewhat of an idea how subscriber growth is going, just before earnings release??

Stranger things have been known to happen.

I don't have any special information, but I do have a feeling that the conference call next week will be positive.

It's just a feeling, no more.

Bob, thanks for the explanation. I understand why the funds want to keep this info "secret", but it doesn't stop me from wanting to find out.

Well I can't wait....I can't think of a better way to start a mid-life crisis then driving around a Corvette. Can just imadgine what Mama will be saying then...as opposed to a couple years back when I spent time reading about the NET on the NET.

It won't be; "Are you gonna sit down there all night drinking beer and playing on your stupid computer?" The Laundry Room beer drinking might just set the pace for; "Here's a 12 Pack, get you butt down there and make us some money"
