*As you noted, Robert, this is simply an opportunity to buy more. Let's make more money off of the ignorant, shall we?!*

I was buying for myself as well as my friends today.

How can you pick any stock if you have no expectation? Do you hire a monkey to throw darts or something? I guess I have no idea why you are in GBLX if you have no expectations.

Ease up-I was specifically asked what would happen tomorrow; I bought more GBLX today to add to a core long-term holding. I am not a short-term trader and don't pretend to know what the market will do tomorrow. Did I offend you somehow?

I would pay big money to have dinner with Winnick. He's got 100 million shares and an obvious game plan. He doesn't care what the street thinks; if he did, he would have announced the new purchase on Friday, when he knew the stock would tank because of the new revenue structure.

I don't exactly know what he's up to, but I've bet my money on him executing GBLX better than any other stock, so I'll have to wait and see.

I love the guy; he's a genius like I've never seen before. Today's purchase was proof positive that he's on the right track. If only the blind could see...

Buying more tomorrow if it dips to 45. I own GBLX at $50, 22 and 36. Buying more tomorrow if it hits $45

It might take a while, but GBLX will make us all rich one day. I'm sure of it.

Not sure if GBLX will dip to 45 tomorrow. Stock closed at 50 after hours on Island Book. Looks like bottom was in high 47's with a nice intraday push from there towards close. I bet there shall be some PR posturing in the next few days.

If - and when - GBLX does a 10-bagger in the next few years, it really wouldn't matter much if one is in at $45 or $55.

Couldn't agree more Bill...
it is a stroke of genius, and a very aggressive move. You have to be impressed with the unbelievable speed with which the management put together a network of such size and quality starting from junk bonds a couple years ago. WStreet is slow to appreciate telecom mergers (GBLX-FRO, WCOM-Sprint etc) and that gives us plenty opportunities to pick our spots as buyers (as many in this board I bought more today).

I would not underestimate the fact that GBLX has three future IPOs to come either...

One day the difference between the traditional telco and the fiberoptic telco will become apparent to everybody in WStreet... by then GBLX's global reach will be challenged (maybe) only by WCOM.

Very long GBLX

Re: GBLX mischaracterizations

I always smile when press reports refer to GBLX as a "long distance phone company". It's reminiscent of the way EMC used to be called a "disk drive company". Amazing how a 10-20 fold rise tends to clarify the Street's perceptions. It happened with EMC and it will happen with GBLX.

What is most remarkable is how GBLX is able to close its deals so quickly. While Q is still trying to get approvals for its USW deal and WCOM will probably take another year to absorb FON, GBLX has closed FRO and Racal Telecom, formed Asia Global Crossing and Hutchison Global Crossing, partnered with LVLT on AC2, and now is buying EXNT and IPI which it expects to close in 2Q00. These folks really know how to do business at Internet speed. It's no wonder that the best and brightest telecom managers have been beating a path to GBLX's doorstep over the past year. I'll be very surprised if GBLX's market cap doesn't blow right past WCOM, T, etc. over the next 2-3 years.
