Opinions please! I posted this on Ihub:

Screen problem: my laptop (Toshiba satellite a45) was having a "warning: problem with cooling system" message - so I used a vacuum in some of the vents on the back. That problem went away but then the screen kept flickering and now it went black. Is this all connected or did I do something with the vacuum that loosened the connection to the screen?

When I turn it on I can hear Windows coming on and I can very very faintly still see my desktop but it is very black.

Sounds like you need a new converter or backlight.

I will probably dump the computer. It is very old and I use it as a second screen to another laptop which I use a ghost software with. It isn't worth putting any money into it.

Newegg, just click on it and it will take you right to the page. I own this TV and like it. It's not the latest or the greatest but it's got a nice picture and better than average sound. I paid $500 for it 15 months ago.
