Some of those keys are a real pain to put back on. My mothers Lenovo notebook tilde key popped off when she got mad and hit the keyboard. The key looks intact, I looked for YouTube and Google instructions to get it back on, found some and followed them to the letter and no luck. So they key just sits there. No idea how to re-attach that key, and it doesn't look broken either.

I just kept hitting it on a blank mailbox page that I could delete and it has loosened up enough for me to type.

Thank you all again for the assistance.....

Do you have a can of silicone spray lubricant? I'll bet it would work if you spray around the key base.

I am leaving tomorrow for Boone NC a 713 mile drive and up there I shall get a can of that spray that cleans out the keys.

I hate to use any lubricant as there are all kinds..... I learned this about ten years ago. Some for plastic, some for
metal and I don't know which one would be good for a computer. The problem has resolved itself a bit with USE.

Like me.. NO USE and tighten up. This is what we all have to do. MOVE MOVE MOVE........

THANKS for the heads up however.

Good idea, Ron. That's exactly what I needed to do to connect my old printer. Now, this new computer doesn't seem to want to shake hands with that printer. I'm not sure what to do as Windows 7 hasn't found it and I don't know what to do to introduce them. As far as the cable connect, that all seems fine and it plugs into a USB port in the back of my machine.

Ideas appreciated.... as usual.

Good catch, I assumed he knew that.

And yes DB25 female is the standard port for an old printer cable to plug into.

Joe, SI Ron had the answer, which I just posted to him. But I so far haven't been able to get the computer and my old Canon printer to say "hello". No idea what to do now.

Ken,

I don't know if this will help, but here is a Window 7 driver for a Canon Bubble Jet BF F210 printer:

drivers.softpedia.com

If this is not the correct printer, you can use this driver finder to locate the correct driver:
