I don't know what a SIM is..
but if i did, I'm not sure how or whether I should open up the iPad
How do I get at the SIM

the email had one attachment which contained 3 pics and some dialogue

so its too big for SI to upload

if the email attachment is a zip file, then unzip it and use just one of the pictures for your SI post. You won't know until you try

you can reduce the size of a picture using a photo editing program, like MS Paint. Within Paint use image>stretch/skew
and change the % numbers
