Can you guess what it is they are loading onto the aircraft?

Hint: The picture was taken in 1956...

Answer below...

It is a 5 MB Hard Disk Drive for the IBM 305 RAMAC, the first IBM 'SUPER' computer released in September 1956.

This HDD weighed over a ton and stored an 'astonishing' (@ the time) 5 MB of data.

Do you appreciate being able to reach into your pocket & pull out your 64 GB Flash Drive now - or perhaps even your 3GS iPhone with 32 GB of memory?!?

K9 Web Protection

"Another tool that can defend against malvertising, among other Web threats, is K9 Web Protection, free from Blue Coat Systems. Though it is marketed as parental-control software, K9 can be configured to look only for security threats like malware, spyware and phishing attacks — and to bark each time it stops one."

re: "guess what it is"

The day after Bob Zumbrunnen purchased SI he moved the headquarters out of the downtown building to a shanty outside city limits that has no indoor plumbing. What you see in that picture is a used 1956 port-a-potty Bob got off of e-Bay.

FYI Bob's inhouse nickname is: The Tighwad

It is when I upgrade that I have problems. I believe my hyperlinks went out on my last upgrade, but they finally got around to supporting it. To this day, I am very reluctant to do so, even though I get several prompts a day. I think I'll just leave well enough alone.

You might ask about it over at the FF thread.

Good Morning CD,

Just doing a bit of background checking into the google thing.

technology.timesonline.co.uk

google-watch.org

I doubt the pacman thing would be used as a covert method to seek information on your PC. Possibly used to cross check the information already known, and I suspect there isn't much they don't know.

Google's roving Street View spycam may blur your face, but it's got your number. The Street View service is under fire in Germany for scanning private WLAN networks, and recording users' unique Mac (Media Access Control) addresses, as the car trundles along.

Germany's Federal Commissioner for Data Protection Peter Schaar says he's "horrified" by the discovery.

theregister.co.uk

I use google as my home page. Keep um where you can see um is my motto.

Anyway, I sincerely hope they take your critical remarks on board in a constructive manner, if not they can add my comment for consideration as well. I hope you don't mind if use your letter as a template -g-

"Dear Google,

You suck".

When you stop sucking so much, think you could suck it up and maybe fix the problem. Youtube will be so much better without that awful sound.

You suck."

/edit. poscript note to google employees:
That pacman banner is still there on Sunday btw. Does anybody in Google work Sundays?? H-E-L-L-O ? Pacmans birthday is over kiddos.

I rarely upgrade anything, I'm satisfied generally, but it was in a moment of weakness, I suppose... what is the FF thread? TIA

LOL, Intelligepedia.

Boy, that's one site I'd like to hack into.

"Kissinger, Henry. Vietnamese conflict war criminal who masterminded the illegal bombing of Cambodia in 1970, and not as yet brought to trial, though a human rights tribunal in France has issued a subpoena. Also coordinated takeover of Chile in 1974 with subsequent tortures and murders. Spit at on sight."
