Hello all,

Hope this isn't too OT.

I'm trying to find a good calender/day planner to download to my PC. Something with a simple interface that I can input trips, seminars, events, soccer games, pick up somebody from airport, etc.

Any recommendations? As always, if its free its for me....but I'll pay for something excellent.

Thanks Mucho!

Thanks. I looked through the page, but was hoping to get somebody to recommend a product he/she uses.

Thanks Cheeky,

I would have given it a try if I hadn't read Ken Adams' post first!

Well I'll be danged! Right under my nose the whole time.

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for....and since I use my.yahoo.com as my home page anyway, it is really a perfect fit.

Thanks a lot!

Seems my Control Panel got corrupted. Not sure how it happened as I haven't done any tweaking lately.

In Control Panel I am unable to access many of the features, such as Device Manager, Printers, Add Hardware, etc. When I click on any of these nothing happens.

I assume this is a registry repair, but not sure what or how. Anyone have information or past experience.

Also, all my prior system restore dates have disappeared so I can't go that route. Don't know what happened here either.

TIA

I'd try a non-destructive rebuild of XP.

Thanks Cow. That could have been a necessary solution, but after several hours of researching I found that "windows management instrumentation software", was disabled. This was causing all sorts of malfunctions including my printer, scanner, Norton Ghost, ZA, and many too numerous to mention.

I don't know how it happened , but most of my computer services became disabled. I enabled or put practically everything on automatic and all seems to be working.

Here's my problem now....not sure what services should be automatic, manual, or disabled, but suppose I will work thru it as I use each service. There is no default setting for each service, and the descriptions are not always clear. I think the negatives will be security and system resources.

As usual this was quite a learning experience.
