You know what gets me, there is no shortage of documented details and proof of fraud, in all areas, like 9/11, Wall St. and banking fraud, election fraud, fraudulent wars, even the President's birth certificate. And that is just the top of the ice berg.

Yet, none of these revelations has any legs. None of these go anywhere, and there seems to be no popular outrage. Of course, the media remains mostly silent.

I wonder what it takes to wake the public up. How much rot can society take, while it's inhabitants cling onto the belief of American righteousness and exceptionalism.

I call it the "Hollywood mind".

Americans believe reality is only what they see and hear on the movies or on the main TV channels.

In other words, if the main stream media doesn't show it, it doesn't exist.

On the other hand, the more the movies and the main stream media show anything, the more important it is.

Ref Goebbels - the bigger the lie and the more it's repeated, the more people believe it.

Yes, I think you stated it well. Outrage is only possible if the main media outlets decide to push it, like for example the unfortunate killing of Trayvon Martin. That gets more press than the thousands killed in war, or the weekly death toll in Detroit, Chicago or New York.

Americans have a lot of important issues to be preoccupied with, like what the Hollywood Stars are wearing, or who they're screwing, or what team their favorite football quarterback has signed with. Somebody else can worry about mundane politics and corruption.

I presume you mean as result of police brutality.

"I presume you mean as result of police brutality."

I was thinking about murders.

The media jumps on the emotional events, and the coverage is wall to wall for days or longer. Investigative journalism, questioning authorities, exposing fraud and corruption -- these things don't usually make it on prime time, and are not worthy of extended coverage.

It's hard to believe that since the Bank bailouts, hardly anything has changed. No new legislation, no one was charged, ............ who cares? Barry Soetoro - who's he? ..... who cares?

I know that, but every day one reads about another case of shocking police brutality which defies understanding except on the basis that there must be more psychopaths in the US police force than even in the army. And I'm aware that 9/11 was an inside job.

Did you expect anything different from the kleptocracy?
