Maurice, Investing is a very personalized subject where probably no two investors think alike. We all have different criteria, goals, tolerance for risk, time horizons, etc. I was playing a lot of micro caps but for several reasons, time constraints, risk management, etc, I have recently chosen to build a more long term portfolio of high quality stocks that I believe will benefit for years to come from the new paradigm, the technological revolution focusing on building the internet, networking, e-commerce & wireless data communications. My current favourites that I hold are Wi-LAN, Cell-Loc, Broadcom, Cisco, Lucent, ATI, IBM, JDS Uniphase, Schwab, Janna Systems & BCE (includes NT & a nice basket of other high quality stocks that meet my criteria, also it is undervalued IMO). It is my believe that each of these stocks will be in high demand from the institutional investors going forward. I also believe that their profitability will excelarate and justify their high valuations (only applies to some) & most likely allow for even higher valuations. Good luck. Cheers!!! |
