$55 call options are down about 50% since I bought them on Monday. (from $2 to $1 1/8) I guess that is why options are called high risk! :-)

On the other hand, anything can happen in the next 2 weeks! You may want to get in now, before the big runup. :-) (This is very close to going to vegas and putting a $1000 on black... you gotta love it!)

Hi JB-- Your comment on GNET two years ago is even more interesting today....Wonder how many people are on the net now?
Best,
KLP
BTW--If anyone is interested in going back to some of the early posts on SI/GNET (or whatever board you are interested in...) just delete the current number at the upper right, and insert "1" or "100" or whatever number you wish to start your process....

Hi folks.

just wanted to let y'all know that SI is not alone in all the bugs.

On average, I get about three "communications errors" per 5 mins that I surf of Yahoo finance (granted I visit a lot of pages quickly as I know where I am going). These errors are accompanied by this sort of garbage onscreen (often is bold, darkblue, with a single strike line through parts of each line):

That's the best you guys can do?

Make excuses for incompetence? Okay, what's wrong with this conversation?

mom: Johny, You used to be an "A" student. Why are you getting "F"s now in school?"
Johny: Well Mom, Timmy is getting "F"s too.
Mom: Oh, well then, that's okay, Johny. Go ahead and fail out with the rest of your friends, at least you'll have company while waiting in line for food stamps.

Really, is that what you guys want to fall back on? Gimme a break. Raise the friggin standard. Honestly, would any parents out there be satisfied with such an excuse from your children?

Weak defense, really really weak.

But, this is not my line of business. However; you can bet if this were to happen to me in mine, I'd be losing customers.

No, I'm not saying that I've never lost a customer. I have, and lost some for good(my line if they get annoyed enough to pull one product, they[sometimes] pull everything). But I always make damn certain that there is some one on the line to explain and walk the customer through in a real life sort of case. Not this way, never.

You wanna know something more? If this happened to most private companies, there'd be some people out of a job. That's a fact.

Now, I don't know who's responsible for this fiasco nor do I know if anyone will lose their jobs because of it, but there is no excuse for it or the way they handled it. Gotta' cut through the fat, period.

BTW, are you looking at this from a users perspective or a shareholders?

Good night.

Now look at my defense.

My last post I unintentionally ended it with "good night" But it comes out "good nigh"

How friggin difficult is that to fix? Been like that for a while now. They can't even figure out how to fix that.

Speaks volumes. Doesn't it, really. Go ahead, admit it. I know you are frustrated over this as well. Stop looking for justification. Anyone can find an excuse. That doesn't take much guts to do. Um, till you get caught in a bold faced lie. Than you better scramble quick for an excuse.

Well August, looks like 'the customer is always right' and they are free to leave and or not buy the product if they are unhappy.....OR, maybe they can and should start their OWN store/site....Who knows, maybe it will always be perfect with no mistakes from git-go........

Trust me, I know! just exactly how very difficult it is to start and succeed in your own business...and also have first hand involvement in a new concept ebusiness venture....It's been 24/7 for several years now, and soon will be open for all....hopefully for everyone to enjoy and have fun....of course, there will always be those who want to throw darts....human nature doesn't change over time....just the environment changes.

This is a new age in communications, and with that new age, new problems will arise. (Good thing that "let's sue" wasn't common verbiage when anesthesia was first "invented" about 150 years ago... who knows where we'd be if law suits were the first order of business....)

In the FWIW department, am both a shareholder (late 97' and more last June....so certainly know the ups and downs)....and also enjoy using the site, and learning as I go.
