You should look at MicroAge (MICA). Selling at less than 8x earnings and growing at 25% and selling at book value. In a high growth business and a Fortune 500 Company. If their ever was a bargain this is it. Fair value at double the current price and not fully valued until triple the current price.

Don't have time to look up the stock symbols I don't know here, but I do recognize ERTS. I believe Electronic Arts is poised to do better than expected, and they have had a killer 1997. Scanning the game makers for the best buy (I was reading the favorable Barron's article on the game makers) is tough though. I suspect that the smaller companies will do what smaller game companies have always done, either be extremely volatile or go out of business. Electronic Arts is extremely impressive in spite of a pretty high multiple (by current bear market standards). Not a screaming buy unless you have a crystal ball, but my crystal ball says DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF MADDEN (anyone who has played Madden NFL 97 will know what I'm saying).

After asking a couple of people from abroad I would also say do not underestimate the power of the ROAD TO THE WORLD CUP FIFA Soccer game.

Cryptologic Inc. Canadian OTC, Symbol: CRYP

Here is why I think this well established Internet Gambling and Data Security company stock price will increase very soon in January with the end of FY results and more during 1998.
Refer to:
Subject 14243

Last quarter CryptoLogic Inc. announced its results for the nine months ended September 30, 1997. Revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 1997 were $5.9 million, bringing its nine month revenues to $11.2 million. The Company had insignificant revenues in the same period last year, as it was in its start-up phase.

Net earnings for the third quarter were $4.0 million, bringing the
Company's net earnings for the nine month period to $7.4 million.
This compares with a loss of $0.5 million for the same period last
year. Basic earnings per share in the third quarter, 1997 were
$0.55, bringing the nine month total to $1.13 per share. On a
fully diluted basis, earnings per share were $0.25 for the quarter
and $0.49 for the nine months ended September 30, 1997. There are
approximately 7.5 million common shares currently outstanding.

CryptoLogic's growth momentum continues, as witnessed by a
comparison of the third quarter versus the second quarter.
Revenues increased by 65.5 percent, while Net earnings increased
by 75.9 percent. On a per share basis, basic earnings rose 57.1
percent, while fully diluted earnings increased 56.2 percent.

During the third quarter, CryptoLogic's wholly owned subsidiary
licensed three operators to use the Company's Casino Gaming
Software, under the trade names: " Casino Internationale", "Sands
of the Caribbean" and "Casino Inn", bringing the total number of
licensed operators to four.

CryptoLogic expects to launch a new version of its electronic
commerce software later in the fourth quarter. As well, its
wholly owned subsidiary has licensed another operator under the
name "Casino Regal", bringing the total number of licensed
operators to five.

CryptoLogic's software products are being used by individuals in
more than 160 countries worldwide. The Company has processed more
than 42 million individual Secure Electronic Transactions, from
more than 80,000 registered users, with nearly USD $325 million in
Electronic Commerce Transactions being processed by CryptoLogic
Server Technology.

On December 23, 1997 the application brought by Mr. Lowry respecting the founders warrants was resolved. See Dec 23 Press Release for details.

CryptoLogic is a public Ontario Corporation listed on the Canadian
Dealing Network; Symbol CRYP. The Company is involved in
software development and operations for Internet transaction
processing. Its current focus is on Internet Gaming software and
Electronic Commerce software.

Tell me what you think.
Thanks
Mephistopheles.

WS,
Another idea: In the summary, post a reccommended maximum purchase price or range, and/or a sell target based on current information.

MOYC is very timely. NANX, which ran up 50% on Fri (held most yesterday) has a majority of their sales to MOYC. Moyco just had news that has been long awaited. They are a small cap. They use NANX' "feedstock", on an exclusive basis for making the "polish" that "planes smooth" chips in prep for putting everything on chips. The process is called "Chemical Mechanical Planarization" (CMP). Their "polish" is called CMP slurry.

It is used by CMP machines made by IPEC SFAM AMAT and others. It is a "consumable" that is disposed of after it is used. The machines use about 7 litres/hour.

There is lots of independent lab verification The MOYC's is the best. Moyc's problem has not been its product. Rather, its size, resources to make it in sufficient quantity and to otherwise be a reliable supplier to the INTC's, IBM, MOT, TXN's of the world.

Their solution was to have a "partner" to produce and distribute to the chip world their slurry.

Yesterday's news (go to yahoo quotes/news) was that Ashland (Chemical) ASH called of the pending deal and that MOYC has lined up another chemical company to go into it with them. The new partner will be anounced soon.

The deal will be structured for MOYC to receive ongoing royalties (% of sales). If it is the same as the ASH deal, they will also get a lump sum and other goodies. MOYC has a low float (70% of the stock is owned by insiders). 52 week hi 8 1/2 low 3 1/2. 15 was alltime high.

White Shoes,

MICA was caught in the entire tech downdraft in the 4th quarter and then came up 3c short on their earnings. A small miss, but they were taken out and shot for it. Also The Co made a blunder by commenting on excess Compaq inventory on the very day that another article was released commenting on excess PC inventories in general.

A gross overaction in my opinion. The only thing that I can see lacking in the company is that they are still relatively unknown and that their story needs to be sold better on the street.
