Ha ha, the myth lives on.....alas, I slept in today and have a full plate, I was playing shortly with the idea last night though :-)

Let's see how much sell off into the closing we see, hopefully we get some reprieve, this market action is tough to live with !

I am not posting because words fail me and others can say it better.

I used to wait until GDX/XAU/HUI had established a bottom before completing my purchase of juniors, but I don't trade individual miners/explorers anymore either.

Ctrl C / Ctrl V is the easiest way to post an image.

Well, thats exactly the reason why PM shares perform so poorly. ETF's gobble up the lion shares

edit: i did a cut and paste and it seems to have worked!!!! This is my method of trading the miners. it is the underlying index for profunds precious metals fund. its been an ugly ride the past few months.

im doing something wrong as all i get to show up is the chart show up

I read someone's research on another forum that the dollar just completed 12 up sessions in a row for the first time since Bretton Woods II. Previously, there were two occasions of 11 straight up sessions in 1975. Since gold and the dollar have been strongly inversely correlated for quite some time, this has represented a huge headwind for gold in the past two weeks, more like a gale or a hurricane as it turned out.
