I really like Jeffrey Saut. Here's his call for the week regarding the general markets which could apply to miners: The call for this week: The stock market has been consolidating its huge gains from the October 4 undercut low for roughly three months in a ~75 point range (1350-1420). That consolidation has allowed the market’s internal energy to be rebuilt and the oversold condition to be worked off. Because of that process, I continue to think the odds that we will see a move below the 1320-1340 zone remain pretty dim. Accordingly, I suspect the stock market is going to put in an intermediate bottom probably this week. raymondjames.com

"Mining CEOs are paper pushers just like the banksters." Geez that seems a little harsh! ;^) Since you mentioned ckg, let's take that as an example. RR is not sitting in the back room dreaming up incomprehensible financial schemes to foist upon his best clients for the sole purpose of taking their money. He's been slogging it out for years moving Metates inexorably along the slow but steady road towards production. And he's put a large chunk of his own money on the line and also stepped in to buy the stock at times when it went on major sale. Maybe he is low on cash now because I haven't seen any buys lately, but he was in there on the last trip under $10. Perhaps you are speaking tongue in cheek or maybe not but at any rate I think the sentiments you are expressing are one of the key objects of the exercise. We must all be weaned from these wicked things...through financial waterboarding...
