I have a problem reading the light blue. I used to have a grasp of what was going on at a glimpse, now I have problems.

The text blue is too pale to read easily in bright light and I can't tell what I've read and not read any more.

Easy fixes.

Also, some of us have eyes that aren't as young as they used to be.

Brad I hope you don't take this wrong.

I've been an art director for over forty years.

While SI has been my "home page" for the past decade, your new "graphics" are not going to help retain that kind of loyalty among new readers.

IOW, don't quit your day job, and aspire to become a graphic designer.

Please, please, please go back to the original look and feel.

Read messages no longer show a different color.

Part of the SI advantage was the ability to keep track of where you were on various discussion boards.
