BEWARE. Good volume increases in nearly all PUT options
today (and they are all up nicely), icluding the Aug.
and Oct. 7.5 PUTS. All CALLS are down.
Something is brewing and it is not good. Sold 1/2
of my shares (purchased at 11.5) this morning.
If the market reacts as negatively to potential poor NETM earnings
as it has to other cos. recently, this one will hit 7.

If the price drops to the 7's, I would buy and sleep well with it.

I am trying to understand this company and their stock. I know that they have several products, but I wonder about their marketing and support. I have had a difficult time buying their Jet Mail Client. Customer support is an exercise in being passed between salespeople and engineers, and holding on the phone forever. I was referred by Netmanage to their wholesaler when I asked how to purchase a copy of Jet Mail, only to be told by two different salespeople that they had never heard of Jet Mail, and then told that I couldn't buy it from them even if they had the software. I have probably spent $30 in phone calls getting bad advice.

What am I missing on this company? I took a small profit in Netmanage when I started to get uncomfortable with *the product* which has got to include service at some level. Is the current valuation a reflection of buyout expectations? What is magic about $7? That is quite a percentage drop from the current close.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Larry,

There is nothing magic about the 7's. IMO, if NETM drops that low, it would be a very good buy, because it would be very undervalued. I bought the majority of my current position after if droped from the 30's to the 9's. If it drops to the 7's, unless I hear something that drasticly changes my opinion of the company and its future, I would think very seriously about adding to my position, eventhough I do consider myself fully vested at this point.

My advice is to give Jim A. prozac. Maybe that would stop this idiotic schizophrenic state he is in.

Lee,

This is the besr advice I have heard in this forum.

An additional dose of 10mg. Valium might decrease the reporting frequency of Jim A., and we could all benefit from the reduced psycho-rebound-ANALyst reactions to hourly movement and cast our views on the Mid->Long term expectations of NETM.

Enough said!

No longer a short monger,

Shalom

Lee,
Simply skip over my posts if you don't want to read them.
If you can't handle or understand that advice then perhaps
you should seek professional help.
Richard, the same to you.
NETM (stock and options) are extremely volatile and many of us
try to take advantage of this.

Lee,
(I composed this reply to your #733, but before #735 was posted.
note that jim reveals himself as a day trader when he had
in the past, seemed to be only a long term investor. In
this context, his posts, even if manipulative, are logical.)

Jim does, on occasion, contribute info updates that should
be appreciated. Perhaps his comments on momentum are best
viewed as a lagging indicator. When he cheers upward movment
its usually about done. And when he despairs over downward
movment, the worst is usually over! If you trade with a long
term strategy this can be annoying. A day trader, might favor
panick induced flux. Long term always seems to be the high
road, and, day traders seem to be reckless. But each of us
takes their own path, and chooses WHEN to act. Perhaps this
guy is really a day trader or the agent of one? Maybe the best
thing you can do is to "cross post" elsewhere and otherwise
spread the word as to the wisdom of a longer term perspective
to attract more long term investors to this stock. I think it
does have good 1 to 3 quarter ( and beyond)potential. Short term
it may dip with a negative earnings or preannouncment
warning. It would be useful to size up the amount of
institutional ownership if anyone can get reliable (verifiable)
info on this. Knowing the # of investors and the average holdings
might give clues concerning probability of panick behaviors.

Larry,

I believe part of your problems in purchasing Jet Mail are in the fact that Jet Mail was just dropped as a product category in favor of Z Mail, a more recently acquired product. NETM plans to use the Jet Mail engine in some way in the new Z Mail product lineup, but I think you caught them in "acquisitionware" mode. I suggest you e-mail Walt Amaral, CFO, or Willie Tejada, VP Marketing, at Netmanage, netmanage.com,  and ask what is going on. I know of a case where a frustrated purchaser was made known to them and within 36 hours, three top NETM staffers had contacted the person offering assistance. Let us know what happens.
