Just wonder why the heck Bush picked this fight with Iraq and faced with Triple Threats, one from Iraq, two from Korea and third from Economic downturn & uncertainty. Would it be cheaper by just pay a minimum of US$100 Million deposit to their chosen international banks, a passport to any country other than USA & no question asked to any individual or group to take care Saddam Hussein. FBI last year did pay $2 Million US dollars to a Russian in order to nail Jim Hanson as spy.

Last year, USA recommended that Pakistan & India stop the fight because it could lead to a nuclear disaster for the world. Just a thought that what we missing here???

To set the record straight,
President Bush did
not pick the fight with Iraq.
A group of terrorists
backed by saddam hussein did.

India and Pakistan didn't try to hit NYC with
jumbo jets loaded with fuel. A group of terrorists
backed by saddam hussein did.

The "situation" with N. Korea has been with "us" since
the Korean war. It hit the news-mongers as "gee, we
ought to report this 'cause it makes for more papers
sold, and look at the profits". Same with TV. It's
a matter of sensationalism.

BTW, President Bush at this point in time has no plans
to go up against Korea, and it would be better (at
least at this point in time) to not do so. To agree
with you, spend money on Korea.

The economic hassle was set in place before President
Bush got into office, due mostly to the collapse of the
stock market bubble that had formed around the internet.
and the changeout position of the potential Y2K problem,
which turned out to be much less serious than most
suspected. More media hype. Heck, the pro's had
started solving this hassle back in 1997. However,
Y2K did lead to over-capicity, but at this point in time
I see a need to replace the PC's that were bought way
back when. Check out the earnings of DELL today.

The market is starting to turn around. Much of the huge
movements, up or down, are caused by the "traders" who
are unwilling to sit on a stock for any period of time.
The LARGE funds are unwilling to take any position at
all.

Bottom line, "You don't pay a dog to not bite you,
you, instead, eliminate the dog". This should have
been done back in both the Bush (sr.), and clinton
(do nothing) era.

Take Care...

Should I wait for him to be officialy sainted by the Pope or does he already have a direct line to God?

OT> Re: Pope, nah, don't wait.
Re; Direct line to God, which God do you wish to choose?

There are bunches of "Gods" that people believe in,
but none that I know of preach the hatred of America
that osama dishes out. Since saddam supports
osama and terrorism, he falls into the same camp, and
as such must be eliminated by any means possible.

Do I wish for war. NO. Do I believe that it may be
(read probably) necessary, YES.

Re-read history re: wars and the causes thereof.

OT -- trust me, not only I have read plenty, I actually have plenty of first hand experience...this will be my last post on the topic. May I suggest you read Message 18567457 which is a report by CIA analysts on the issue and Message 18548095 in which I think current reasons for war and peace have been analyzed. Subsequent posts bring about a good chunk of debate.

all the best,
Sun Tzu

PS eliminating all those who hate you...hmmm...doesn't sound very American.

RFMD on topic. Do you chart, use technical analysis,
etc??? If so (plus weighing any other factors), do
you believe that RFMD will hit at least 11.00 again,
ie, believe the forcasts of Legg Mason and others.
It appears to me that the deal with INTC would have shot
RFMD up like a rocket. To many uncertain "items" hitting
at the same time!
You also take care, and I'll agree to disagree.

Technically the picture is anywhere from bleak to inclonclusive. These include penetrated H&S pattern from Oct-Jan which give at best another buck on the up side, and that RFMD fell after good earning news.

Fundamentally, this is a solid company with great prospects. And it has cheap valuations. Whether or not you decide to bite the bullet and take the technicals with a grain of salt, has to do, IMO, with how successful you think RFMD will be in wireless lan arena, as I see little on the way of their traditional market until 3G really starts to take off.

I am all ears as to why or why not RFMD should be able to take a good chunk of wireless lan market.

From Briefing.com:

>>8:16AM Nokia upgraded at SG Cowen (NOK) 13.80: SG Cowen upgrades to Outperform from Mkt Perform based on their belief that handset inventory is being burned off at a faster than expected rate as well as expectation that the co's new handset lineup should show a strong reception when it ramps in Q2.<<

Cheers, Tuck
