Corel now ranks 324 out 325. On the bright side it can't get much worse.

The press release announcing that Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Professional is shipping has just been sent out on the wire.

---------------------

The above is a response I received from Corel IR to a question I had. Things are starting to look interesting now. Shipments of WP8 Pro, WP7 legal, and WP7 3.1x are all going to be booked in Q3 revenues.

ah:

accounting sucks when you havn't sold anything yet but you get to count it anyway. very interesting though. somebody spilled some beans and hence the volm gets explained. now shh. whisper this stuff. we got some v lo estimates sitting there, awaiting a surprise.

Robert:

Almost any software company looks better. Corel going down the tube fast, wrong. Who is the last guy on that list? Easier to ask you than to keep scrolling down. Corel is so... far... down... that list. Now let's see, Zacks. What have they done for me lately. A private, pay for it, -4- on APM at about 25. (while the public number was a -1-) i remember. Trust them not.

Thanks.

Leo

The fee-based portion of Stockwatch (www.canada-stockwatch.com) has a Java applet that allows one to view who passed every transaction in a stock. There is a trial available.

With companies like Open Text, PC DOCS, Fulcrum, Spyglass, and Milkyway Networks ranking well ahead of Corel on the "Best of 325 Chart", it makes one wonder how they have draw their conclusions. Maybe it should be interpreted as position 325 being the best with position 1 ranking the worst!
