Hmm, I suppose no one was selling those calls either.

A@P,

Could you please spell out the relevance of this news to ABTE?

Thanks,

Ken

Many of the people involved on the critical side of ABTE also are inviolved with IBUY and are very interested...But the rest of the ABTE longs I guess can all sign up as plaintiffs since there are over 5 Class Action suits pending against ABTE. That is the only hope they ever will have of making any money

I notice that several of the same attorneys involved with ABTE suits are also involved with IBUY suits. Is that what you mean by

Many of the people involved on the critical side of ABTE also are inviolved with IBUY and are very interested.

Or did you mean that many traders who are short IBUY are also short ABTE, and the news has, in fact, no real relationship to ABTE?

Sorry for being so dense, but your terminology is a bit obscure ... at least, to me.

Thanks,

Ken

C'mon Anthony,

These shareholder lawsuits never amount to much! Seems pretty funny to me that the news releases concerning these lawsuits filed have to be re-released again. Makes it look pretty bad when somebody goes to pull up ABTE on Yahoo or another source. I strongly suspect Ascenio and Company have something to do with it.

The funny thing about all these attorneys and their shareholder lawsuits is the fact that the stock seems to be holding up pretty nicely despite.

Ascenio must be pulling out all the tricks.

Looked to be some short covering before the close this afternoon. Another one of my stocks (CYPH) was around 5 1/4- 5 1/2 all day until the last 30 minutes or so when it broke upside finishing the day at 6 3/4. Large short position there too. So obvious.

Have a great weekend.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but they always end up costing a lot of money for the company involved.

Milberg Weiss re-released its statement, but the other 2 were new firms joining the fray. That makes a current total of 4, so far.

Yes, it does. Though probably not any worse than headlines like:

Jane, your profile says you "follow the charts". Be true to yourself, and look at ABTE's chart objectively. Pretty scary looking chart, IMO, if you're long.

Absolutely scary chart...

But I'm in for the ride when the shorts will be forced to cover. Therefore, throw the charts out the window for ABTE.

Regarding these shareholder lawsuits...costing the company money? Dont think as much as you might be thinking. They might have their own attorneys on retainer and/or Insurance.

Short interest as of Aug (latest available figure) was 33% of float. Possibly even higher now, although I suspect many took advantage of the drop on Sep 1 to cover (thus the large bounce off the day's low).

I'd suspect the shorts (me included, by the way) will provide some downward cushioning, covering whenever bad news comes out. Yes, IF unexpectedly good news were to come out, I'd want to be long, too, to ride the wave up. I don't expect that to happen, though.

I believe the lawsuits will cost the company a lot of money, even if they have attorneys on retainer, or insurance. Frankly, I'm torn when it comes to these shareholder lawsuits. On the one hand, if a company clearly misleads the public, then the public should be allowed to sue for some sort of compensation. But, OTOH, often it seems that at the first sign of trouble, you've got 10 law firms filing class actions. Makes me a bit uneasy, as if we've allowed such things to get out of hand. Difficult to draw a line, however.
