Thanks for the reply. It helped some of my thoughts to crystallize on this issue. The key point seems to be that, in the case of replacing allogenic and autologous blood, Optro would be replacing an established product. So any premium due to value-added by Optro would need to be balanced against market penetration/size concerns. Thus, a conservative estimate, at least at the outset, might be warranted.

The broader application of Optro as an oxygen therapeutic is very interesting, as there would seemingly be less competition (and an even greater need) in the areas you mention, as well as for treatments of anemia.

Longer term, the second generation Optro might provide a more compelling argument for a premium, as the half life should be better.
