Potter -- "find a website that would detail out how to install
Windows98 onto my new machine"

Um, er, what's the problem? The OEM version comes with
a boot diskette and a CDROM. you insert the diskette,
and you can get to a DOS like win98 prompt or just do
setup.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, there is one pain-in-the-neck problem.
I always set up a separate logical disk for just the
operating system, one for the stuff you install, like
Netscape, one for my work, and then the rest of the
stuff, like stock market data and games.

It is a little difficult to get the install program to
give you anything other than one big logical disk.
The way to avoid this is to get to the DOS like
prompt and then find fdisk on the CD. Then set things
up as you like.

I use:

1Gb: OS & swap space (I'm beginning to think this is not enough)
1Gb: Compressed volume for Netscape, Lotus, etc.
1Gb: Fat16 for my source code. (Just a little conservative here)
7Gb: Fat32 for other stuff (on the 7200 Desk star)

I think it took me a while to get this right.

P.S. I was just going to say that your chart looks a little
scary (10:00)
38.186.148.52
Now, it looks more scary (10:39)
Hmm, how can I put this, ... You might get a deep
buying opportunity soon. Watch the next few hours. If it
climbs back up to 18, you might be OK, if it stays, below
17 1/2, I'd say you're going to see it go a bit lower.
JUST MY OPINION, but I'm getting OK at reading this hourly
chart.

P.P.S I just lost 2/3 my equity last week. Don't cry
for me, it just sets me back to November. You can cry
for some of my internet friends.

Sun Tzu, weren't you lamenting that
you didn't have enough action? Anybody who wants my
summary of the story can send me a private message,
although I won't get to writing it today.

P.P.P.S. I am kicking *ss with the V3. I think it's gonna
keep selling well. I am seriously much better with fast
high resolution graphics. That V3 won't make a sucky player
good, but those of us who started with Castle Wolfenstein
get a big boost.

PPPPS Micheal, I consider myself mainly a wargamer. :)
I once had the original set of 3 paperback D&D rule books
which came in a box. Gone :( But all I have time for
these days
is a little time on line. Guess what is easy to drop into
with no context setup time? First person shooters.
