FIRST COMMERCIAL SHIPMENT OF WOLLASTONITE FOR ORLEANS RESOURCES

MONTREAL, April 23 /CNW/ - Orleans Resources Inc. is pleased to announce its first firm sale of wollastonite.This commercial shipment for one of itswollastonite concentrates produced at the processing plant is presently underway. It is destined for a client that does not wish to be identified in order to protect the secretive nature of its manufacturing procedures.
In effect, wollastonite, a non-toxic, white industrial mineral, has unique characteristics that enhance its qualities as a highly sought strengthening agent. Orleans currently offers its clientele four types of high-aspect ratio concentrates each with different grades.
This Orleans Resources client selected its supplier after conducting tests on samples provided by the Corporation. To date, more than forty samples ranging from 5 to 250 kg, taken from different batches, have been sent to North American and European clients working in sectors that include ceramics,plastics, construction and friction materials. Some clients have already proceeded to analyze the samples, and have been extremely satisfied with the results. Concentrates produced by Orleans are already making an impression with their quality and aspect ratio.
Furthermore, the processing plant is operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The team in place strives to deliver a top-quality product that meets the highest market standards.
Orleans holds 100% interest in a wollastonite deposit recognized as one of the biggest in the world,and operates the first wollastonite processing plant in Canada.
