|Sylvester will never change, LOL.|
Excepting me, my whole family has gone for the iPhone, making four iPhones in my house. My two daughters who initially went Android, have since become converts to iPhone.
Personally, I still love my Alcatel Idol 4S Windows Phone. But the writing is on the wall. If I had to make the decision anytime soon, I'd be more inclined to go high-end Android myself. I still hold hope however, quite possibly illogically, that x86-on-ARM will help bring about a third viable and alternative ecosystem. So I'm glad I don't feel pressed in this decision anytime soon.
I find it hard to dispute my daughters' logic, however: Given a $200 range budget, a used iPhone 6S is a better alternative to a new Android phone.
There is little doubt that Apple has soaked up the lion's share of the industry profits, and its valuation right now rightfully reflects this.
