|Gee, having such technology as Centrig at the end of fibre runs certainly could feed out a plethora of bits to all those small 5G modems. You'd also need some similar ummph in the small cells but that's likely a lot less than anything Centriq. Sounds good for some "stuff" to me, especially now that the talk is finally of "wireless cable" with the stationary part thereof possibly being only momentary.|
ps Given your comments others may be more attuned to building this compression capability and Qualcomm does employ at lot of "other" types. With the blossoming of many-core hardware, lots of folks could go here.
