|I own a small position speculating on their long term business model.|
As their systems are installed in new aircraft, they receive payments through a subscription model. Those revenue streams are stable and run for many years and are sticky since you rarely ever lose a subscription.
As new requirements from Gov agencies for aircraft tracking and real time system monitoring (engines, anything using sensors) helps the maintenance teams on the ground to schedule work. This save time on the ground and allows more time in the air. (better utilization of fleet).
So this is not really a trader's stock but (for me) a long term value play. Maybe on some news event you could do a swing trade as this is thinly traded but since I have been following (over 2 years), it's not a trading stock.
I continue to hold my long and underwater from my first Buy 1/2015. This may/could be a double in 18 months if steady increase in subscription revenues increase and much more if they accelerate due to China installing units in their fleet.
