7/2/2017 NVDA is a monster. I took some off the table and locked in a double digit winning year even if the markets drop 10%. The Euro is getting stronger. The commodities are lower. I like gold or silver right now.

4.8.2017 The economy and employment go on and on. The Feds raised rates ¼% and the market liked it. Everyone in business wants tax cuts so if it doesn’t happen the pullback will be severe. I am buying silver as it continues to rise. The ruble is stronger every quarter despite sanctions. How about the strong performance of FB and AMZN>? I see a 30% correction in the next three years. So think of assets other than stocks.

1/1/2017 Trump wins. The market rallies. I remember the markets being down 3% on election overnight. The Dollar is exceptionally strong. It is a great time to go travel or shopping overseas.

NVDA up 223%. The Dow was up 13.4%; the S&P gained 9.5%; and the Nasdaq was up 7.5%. That's not bad considering both the Dow and S&P 500 suffered slight losses in 2015. The large cap tech have plenty to run as the gains in the smaller techs lead the way. The USA is not going to compete anymore, as the Carrier guy said. Mexican labor is $3 an hour. No amount of retraining for a lower-skilled assembly job is going to change that. The only thing that will replace that Mexican worker himself is a robot. And a robot is infinitely cheaper than even the cheapest labor. Robot stocks anyone? I am seeing equipment have a five year payback for robots and more if they work multiple shifts. The tech innovator was the sold out AMZN Alexa. It was sold out for Christmas. I have one and I use it everyday. The US has a tech lead and no matter how cheap the labor, unskilled labor cannot program software or robots. The Trump Putin friendship would be disastrous for defense stocks. The USA spends much of the money for a Russian attack and lifting of the sanctions would mean less need for costly weapons. In 2015, the US declared military and defense budget was $601 billion, which is more than the next 7 highest spending countries combined.

The bubbles continue to be a strong dollar, and energy. There is plenty of natural gas and oil. I see the market trending higher for 2017.

1/2/2016 The indexes broke the winning streak that started in 2009. If you believe the presidential election cycle, it should be an up year. Election in November will affect the markets. Odd makers in Vegas have Hillary to win and Cruz to win the GOP nominee. I have a bet on Sanders to win that will pay four figures if he wins. This is the tough time to buy
