Over thinking the absence love.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

In addition to the physical advantages, Gorilla Glass is also clearer than normal glass, which allows for more vibrant head-up displays, connected surfaces, and entire dashboards that function as touch screens. That’s not all though, because on the rear window, Corning slipped an electronically controlled opacity film between the layers of glass. With the push of a button, the window went from crystal clear to a dark tint. That’ll surely come in handy if you feel the sudden need for privacy.
Corning had to do it but it can't bring itself to mention what it had to do. Imagine the management struggle over the pros and cons of the decision.

No mention of having to use the technology of an ant sized one product company that has never shown a profit and competes with Corning's strategic partner View Dynamic Glass.

The non mention perhaps is in itself strategic. Even if simply mulling around the idea of eliminating this pissant REFR by a takeover or other arrangements it is smarter to not inflate the value and ultimately the cost of such a takeover by giving extra publicity to the use of SPD.

Congratulations to REFR management which somehow managed to get SPD mentioned in a REFR press release.

Regardless of what actually comes of this relationship, it is bullish for REFR. In any field the fact that Corning used SPD smooths making the decision to do so as well, much easier.
