You do realize Obama's plan is to cut reimbursement for Medicare patients by some 21% or so, right?. Why wouldn't health care providers take the better insurance plans first?
That's inaccurate, I believe. I'm quite sure there's no across-the-board reduction in reimbursements for Medicare patients. What there is is a reduction in payments to hospitals, who have agreed to those cuts because they know they'll be saving money by not having to treat uninsured patients. That and a few other reimbursement cuts. But not a blanket cut.
