Bob, I am bracing myself for an Obama win, but I am hopeful sanity will prevail and Obama will be voted out with a large margin. I tell anyone who listens that Obama is not the problem, its the people who elected him.

There are way too many people who want government to provide more and the money will come from somewhere else.

The strength to be as independent and self sufficient as possible is being weakened everyday. A large % of the population is being fattened into servitude by the devolving american culture. Overweight people will be highly dependent on welfare of others as their health impacts their finances and ability to work.

About the only positive I see providing some wind in our sails is cheap natural gas for the next decade or so. Other than that I think this slide towards bigger government spending more and more OPM is going to continue until change must be forced.

Our collective ship will float, sink or land on the shoals whether all its inhabitants deserve it or not. It wont matter much to the people with the proper behavior can save themselves from ruin, when they see many of the people they care for suffering. Unless one is very rich you can only do so much for your children, extended family etc. At 50 I have always had a enjoyable job that paid well, I am not so sure my children will have the same opportunities. No doubt even if they have decent positions they certainly will be paying a much larger % in taxes .
