I took a look at your route via Google StreetView. The sights remind me of my home in USA's upper midwest. I also remember the aromas: feed mills, new-mown hay, cow and hog manure, food processing plants, and diesel fumes. Growing up there felt prosperous, but not exactly rich. My idea of rich was California.
