A tangential comment, not really in response to what you were asking.

One of the features I was looking forward to in Mountain Lion is AirPlay Mirroring. But I found out last week that that feature isn't supported on my model of the MacBook Pro, which is three years old. Oh, well.

I did buy the third-party AirParrot app, which is supposed to be getting a Mountain Lion update, and might do the trick for me.
