The answer to that is for them to be more open about progress with the fab and also their past Mirasol efforts. It is only Qualcomm and their proxies who have ever publicly got their hands on Mirasol. Warm hands are tainted hands, even mine. We will see but the odds of a biggie partner riding off into the sunset saving Mirasol have now dropped significantly. November is Analyst Day so one has to look at Davidson's comments from that perspective.

The display panel industry is much like the telecom equipment and processor industry. That is, ruled by a few and if one wants to play one needs to play with those biggies. Qualcomm saw that light early and attempted a joint venture. That failed because the manufacturing process was so much more challenging than existing LCDs. Now that they have that challenge resolved, maybe(?), they are going to reattempt getting into bed with a display industry biggie. That makes sense. Their secrecy about it all, especially at this point in time, doesn't.
