FWIW, my understanding was based on a job like this that only mentioned LTPS.

Display backplane circuit design support for the development of a low power MEMS display to be produced on LCD industry standard processes. The Senior Circuit Designer does design, simulation, testing and verification of both analog and digital Thin Film Transistor circuits in Amorphous Silicon and Low Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon processes for use in MEMS control circuits on display backplanes. The Designer does analysis of system operation, including defining and running analytical models and circuit simulations. The Designer does laboratory experiments and measurements on the circuits using a variety of standard and custom lab equipment. The Designer will test, validate, trouble shoot and debug circuit performance. The Designer interacts closely with the rest of the electronics team, the MEMs design team, the optics design team, external mixed signal ASIC vendors, customers, and partners, and may need to travel internationally.

Of course, this really just illustrates how little understanding I have of the structure of Mirasol displays.
