I don't think it's a big surprise. The market is only reacting to big news on short term things. I think the deal with Sandspring is that they are a big, low grade copper gold thingie which will require significant investment. The gold royalty of the Guyanese government isn't helping either.

The market in general is in flux as they say. I think it is in a tailspin flux. Short money or fast money markets are the norm, but this is a desperation short money market. I don't mean short sale short, but quick gains only. The best market gains are about 1 year surges, of a single stock story or the market as a whole. They are the easiest to see.
