"our commitment to our shareholders is to have success with the Windows Phone"... "And we are also pursuing that quite nicely with our other partners".

That just leaves me scratching my head. It certainly requires one to wonder either about how it is that Microsoft defines "success" or how it is that they define "having"...

Of course, there's also "pursuing that quite nicely"... ???

LOL!!! I suppose MSFT can afford to continue supporting their serial dalliance with technologies in which they've never made a serious commitment to compete.

How they convince others to commit their corporate survival to what they treat as their hobby project... is a puzzle.

How it is that MSFT shareholders and board have been lulled into tolerating that same sort of dismal performance as MSFT management under Ballmer have come to accept while using the language that way... is... interesting.

NOK and MSFT really do appear to have some features in common in terms of corporate culture, noting, most particularly, the too willing penchant to accept self delusion as an equally valid tool to apply in measuring performance as.... real metrics...
